Lipvas

Lipvas is used in the treatment of increased cholesterol levels in blood, increased triglycerides levels in blood and increased LDL levels in blood. Lipvas is a cholesterol-lowering medicine (statins). Lipvas works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lower "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raise "good" cholesterol (HDL). Lipvas is usually taken orally once per day or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a full glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor as it may cause cholesterol levels to rise. Patients using Lipvas may encounter unwanted side effects such as: muscle pain or weakness, headaches, nausea, memory problems, diarrhea, constipation, confusion, unusual fatigue, vision problems, jaundice. Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persists or worsen. It is recommended not to consume grapefruits or grapefruit juice while using the medication as it may alter the amount of the drug in the bloodstream. Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes and hives. Lipvas is not always suitable for all patients. Always consult your health care provider prior to using this medication if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if you have any allergies or other health problems.
